Well, we get to scratch off another state from the list of 50
we have visited. We were a little hesitant to go to Oklahoma because we once
watched "Twister" and knew that Helen Hunt had moved back to California.
But, we
had an opportunity to meet up in OKC and took it even though we knew there
wasn't much to see. Boy were we wrong. Once again, Inspector Bruce uncovers
the unusual and unique. Perhaps the best attraction of all, no, no "perhaps"
about it, is the Oklahoma Aquarium in Jenks. It is worth visiting just for
itself. Ask them for a look-see behind the wall at the shark pool. Very,
very, very cool.
As is usual, we fill up the schedule with nature and animals.
The good thing about this trip is that I had all my newly repaired Nikon
equipment back for the trip. All of my bodies and lenses were in tip-top
shape so some of the photos are very good, if I do say so myself, and I do.

Arbuckle Wilderness
This is a drive through wild animal park where the animals are not so
wild. The had a lot of animals and scenery that we didn't expect in
Oklahoma.
Caution: Objects in Mirror are closer than they appear.
Dr. Doedelson hosts animal school.
My personal favorite.
These ducks got stranger as they got closer.
Even weeds look cool in Oklahoma.
Just 1/2 EV from a perfect photo.
Mr. and Mrs. Longhorn.
King of the Jungle sleeps late.
Mrs. Camel takes over.
Wichita Mountain Wildlife Preserve
This place is really interesting. I'll have more information when I
remember where I stuck the brochure.
Me.
Haven't decided what to put
here. Probably another scenery photo.
Check back later.
Fried Pies
We stopped to find out what fried pies were and we found out that they
are fried pies. We had an apple and two coconuts. I shouldn't have eaten
the second coconut. It was very good, though. Tums helped.
Bruce chats with the owner. He invented the fried pie. That's my story
and I'm strickin' to it.
A case full of fried pies.

From the cockpit of the F14.
Oklahoma Aquarium
Bruce charms the volunteers. He watches them feed the fish, too.
This is from a Police tune... "Octopus in a Bottle".
(OK, your first literary reference.)
A very large starfish. I think it is aggressive, too.
Perhaps the weirdest fish I've ever seen. I don't know what it is.
OKC OmniMax
This is a combination of the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center and the Air
and Space Museum in San Diego. It has a little bit of everything.
Children play areas, some of the same exhibits and an OmniMax theater.
We saw The Forces of Nature movie. It was pretty cool.
Bruce in the Hall of Mirrors. This is a pretty cool photo of him.
Our official Trip Photo.
Don't know why I took this but it is the only photo you will see of the
museum.
Once again, there is no copyright notice.
Once again, you have blanket permission to steal whatever you want.
Once again, send me a check with a lot of zeros before the decimal point.
Once again, well, never mind...
