I don't remember why we did Santa Barbara except that it was an interesting trip. There are no records and only a few photos.

What I remember most is that we came up with a plan for our life that we never implemented. To this day I think it was a killer idea and we should have done it. We found a motel for sale in Cambria near Hearst Castle.

The plan was to put in a full 24 track (state of the art at the time) recording studio and sell packages to 40 something rock wannabees to come and stay a week and record their music. We would provide room and studio time and limited food (pizza and beer). BYOB&D.

We went all the way up to Carmel and 17 Mile Drive after spending the day at Hearst Castle.
